“Brisk, Pious, Cheerful, Free” – that’s how the five songs of the EP “Immortal” by Red Button sound. The perky punkrock of the three guys plus frontlady Jule is catchy and the majority of the target audience can certainly relate to the band’s lyrics about life and love. What I miss a little is a bit more aggression the singer’s voice which, however, can be already heard at the end of the very last song and which should be kept up in any case. The band is maybe something like a Paramore for the a bit older generation and this EP is an auspicious foretaste of the probably soon-to-be-released longer record of the “Regensburger punk-spatzen”. Solid emopunk without wanting zu reinvent the whole genre.
