According to the press release this EP by the guys from Hesse, Germany is supposed to be filed under TRASH. Popular typo or a serious suggestion?? Probably the former because Bloodspot deliver a brutal load of tHrash/death metal that really surprised me. Often thrash bands suffer from a weak vocalist, you may be reminded of Mr A from the band S, but with Dominik Jahr the band really has a versatile frontman amongst them. Believably, he brings out hardcore screaming, death metal growls and even black metal screeching and by doing so is in almost no way inferior to Trevor Strnad from Black Dahlia Murder. Thus, this is definitely not for your garbage bin but it´s a demonic debut EP that whets the bloody appetite for more.
