Slowly I really start to lose track of all those death metal/hardcore bands. Disposed To Mirth, never heard!!! I wouldn´t really compare them with other bands like As I Lay Dying or Despised Icon. Generally seen, their heavy, fast and thick guitar riffs are way more in the front plus they are perfectly supported by quick double basses. Diamonds In His Throat and She Feels The Rain are brilliant examples of that. Special mention goes to the versatile and very memorable melodies in the chorus parts, especially with Russian Roulette. And that Disposed To Mirth can do it soft too proves the final track Sex Sober. It´s an exciting midtempo song, almost a ballad, however, the guitar solo sounds rather odd. Nevertheless, it´s a good record far away from that oh-so typical hardcore/death metal sound.
