A while ago, I read an old review for Lionheart´s The Will to Survive by some douchebag who said something about the album having lots of profanity and the usual self affirming statements. Duh! If these things bother you, then Built on Struggle is not for you (and a lot of the usual hardcore). In my humble opinion, it is probably one of the best albums I have heard in many years. It´s hard to find an album where I really dig ALL the songs, but this is surely one. From start to finish, it is nothing but pure fucking ferocity, pure fucking American Hardcore. It is heavier than their last and the singer´s voice sounds less like a rabid animal this time and more like a raging human being. Featuring guests appearances by various voices in the scene (and even some guitarwork by Dave Nassie of Bleeding Through, ex-No Use For a Name, Suicidal Tendencies), fans of Hatebreed and Terror should really like this one. Be sure to catch them on tour with Terror and First Blood in Europe this winter. This album is a must listen, no matter what your tastes in the genres of heavy music. It will kick your sorry little ass.
