Over the past few years, acoustic gigs have become very popular. Especially in the North of Europe, the live scene is hard to imagine without them; in Germany and Switzerland, though, this way of playing a gig still has to make up some ground.
The hardrock legends of Tesla take advantage of the current hype about acoustic shows and publish their 15th album in just that style. Six of the songs on Twisted Wires And The Acoustic Sessions were recorded in 2005 when founding member Tommy Skeoch was still part of the band. But there are also six songs from older Tesla albums that were given an acoustic remake. To top it off, the Californians present two new songs: Second Street and Better Off Without You.
More than an hour of listening pleasure awaits the purchasers of this album, on which Tesla are showing their softer side. Especially the two new songs are impressive. The distinctive voice of singer Jeff Keith comes into its own especially well on these two tracks. A must-have for the collection.
