30 years after forming the band, GREAT WHITE delight us with their 12th studio album. One of the guitarists, Michael Lardie, acted also as the producer of Elation, and together with his band mates Mark Kendall (guitar), Audie Desbrow (drums), Scott Snyder (bass) and Terry Ilous (vocals), he created a real party album. They remain absolutely faithful to their style and the usual driving rock rhythms alternate with slower notes, partially with a slight blues touch. Not only the beautiful ballads feature nice guitar solos but pretty much all of the 12 songs. The rich sound can really be enjoyed at any volume, yet - play it loud - then you get the most out of it. I welcome also the economical use of keyboards, and with the new singer Terry Ilous they have made a good choice. No matter if rocking or slow songs, his voice fits Great White perfectly.
Pay particular attention to: (I´ve Got) Something For You and Feeling So Much Better, and of course the beautiful ballad Love Is Enough. Congratulations - I think with this album the shark is indeed swimming again!
