Corvus Corax set themselves a highly ambitious goal. They put the legendary "Carmina Burana", the Carl Orff composition for orchestra, choirs and soloists, in a new, modern jacket.
This very difficult undertaking was quite successful. It has turned out quite varied and exciting, divided in 12 tracks. They used such a build up, that classical music dummies like me are also able to relate to the Carmina. Unfortunately the guitars and the ordinary drums are a very negative point.
They might have created some more variation and suspense in the sound. But as it is, the sound is still heavy and convincing.
