What is it? I have no idea, but it doesn't sound too bad at all. Until now, I had never really heard of the alternative rockers of Cosmic Tribe. With this third album they make a very good impression. They play a mixture of alternative rock, metal, jazz and various other musical styles. What's very nice is that they have a certain flair for songwriting. They don't just mindlessly combine riff with riff and verse with chorus, but they actually do some proper songwriting. The good riffs aren't overshadowed by obsessive guitar fumbling. The vocals are quite psychedelic and take some getting used to. That's not meant as criticism, however, as the vocals suit the sound as whole very well. No critique concerning the production. The only thing that is missing are a couple of real hits with some hook lines. They more or less managed to do that with the first song "Open Up". There's also a Depeche Mode cover "It's No Good".
