The new double album from Devin Townsend Band is a live recording of his show in London´s Roundhouse and it´s pretty much exactly that what one would expect -apart from the fact that it was a three hour show and the albums are about an hour each. The reason behind this is that it was a celebration of his 20 years in the music business.
The tracklist offers a lot for the fans. The songs are from earlier albums, like Ocean Machine, Synchestra and Infinity. Naturally Ziltoid pops up too. A very positive surprise is the addition of "Detox" and "Love" from Strapping Young Lad.
I say this in almost every live CD review, but the fact of the matter is, that a live CD simply can´t hold a candle to a live DVD. Nonetheless, the album is good if you´re into DTB, as Devin´s humor and general mad professor attitude is very much there.
