Santa Cruz

If there is a band these days who takes the music scene of Helsinki by storm, it`s Santa Cruz. After several gigs in their hometown, especially in the last months, they are already now not an insiders` tip anymore. Despite their young age, the quartet owns more 80s Rock attitude than some originals from back then, and at the same time they have a quite realistic way of looking at things. And due to the fact that the hard rockers want to be on top also outside of Helsinki - like it`s sung in their song "We`re Aiming High" - they are currently recording their new EP with producer Joel Attila in the "Studio Bulevardi". INFECTION
STALKERs Fresh Act August 2010
The young Band Infection from Hamburg, Germany, wants to show their ideas and their passion to the world - with concerts and a debut album which should be released in this year. We met with Emal (drums), Tümay (voice), Juled (guitar) and Mensur (bass) at the youth centre "Lass 1000 Steine Rollen" in the southern district office of Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg, where bands and young musicians can rent for very little money exercise studios. This place helps effectively since 30 years to support the youth culture and the music scene especially here, where more than 70 percent of the inhabitants are from foreign countries. >> more/mehr

 

Embassy of Silence

After Nightwish many bands from Finland tried to follow in their footsteps, many of them failed. But Embassy of Silence seems to be on the right path to international stages with their melodic Metal/Rock music and a powerful female voice. Confession by Silence

When the young lads from the small City of Gadebusch in northern Germany sent us their demo, no-one knew that as soon as the speakers blasted off the first track, it was clear that it would be sacriligous to not make Confession by Silence the fresh act of the month. The lads hit just the right spot with their melodic death metal and bring fresh blood into the genre. We, at least cannot wait for their debut album, on which the boys are working on and we would not be at all surprised when they get a record label.
