The Dope from Landshut in Lower Bavaria consists of only two people. Like you know it from bands like The White Stripes or Death From The Above 1979 it’s possible to make music with only two instruments, drums and guitar/bass plus vocals, which is in no way inferior to an entire band. Also on their first LP “Deaf and Blind but with a Smile” of the guys from Landshut you at first don’t really notice that there are only two people who make music together and that’s the way it should be. The indie pop of the guys sounds quite eclectic, thus within one song softer, acoustic moments alternate with more heavier sounds so that both the more dreamy and the more rock-orientated indie fan get their money’s worth.
