A trio from Vienna gives us their due and the guys want success and glory. I guess both things are not impossible, but it would be hard.
The Twins Gregor and Paul and their singer and guitarist Sami Fischer founded MY GLORIOUS in the year 2008, after their band FRESH split. Fresh was touring all over Europe, and MY GLORIOUS was on the road in the U.S. of A. to promote their EP. Probably the Austrian trio will experience the same like FRESH – which means touring all over Europe- and maybe much more. It seems that this will happen, especially because of their interpretation of rock music. It is a little unconventional and reminds me of Biffy Clyro – heavy, melodic and sometimes also gentle. The breaks in their songs are not as surprising as the scotch guys´ records and therefore the album is not confusing.
I like this attempt, but it had could be a little heavier to increase the contrast.
HOME IS WHERE THE HEART BREAKS is a good first CD those Austrian guys. I am looking forward to the second record.
Summary: Besides the Wiener sausages (and they truly came from Vienna) there are some delicacies more to be found in Vienna!!!
