Better Safe Than Sorry is the title of the debut album by the young fivesome Red XIII from Blackpool, who are now signed to Rising Records. When you listen to their album you know why because the ten tracks simply hit the bull´s eye. With their perfect blend of melodic core and metalcore the guys totally nailed it plus all songs are played on a very high level. The tracks groove evil and tight; and skilfully the band peppers the whole mix with tempo changes here and there. The fat production only adds to the powerful sound, which is transported to the ear canals with just the right amount of oomph! Special mention deserves the opener Doin´ It For The Beatdown that has a catchy chorus and could definitely be a hit song. An impressive debut, which showcases the potential of the band and whets the appetite for more.
