What the fuck! How could I have ignored this band from Western Germany for so long? The second record of this Power-Thrash Metal band is a real big one and blasts many other records from well-known acts dead easy away. What makes their stuff so great is the combination of heavy guitar riffs in the verses and great hooklines in the choruses. Their recipe is simple: Take some harmonies of early Rage, spice them up with the energy of Sodom, add an up-to-date production, making the whole things sound a little bit like Modern Metal, and you are done: the results are great killers like “Purging Flames”, “Deaf, Dumb `n` Blind” and “Overload”. While the majority of the songs is made for headbanging, Metalety do not neglect the slow parts. This puts some dynamic into the songs and makes the album even more interesting to listen to. All in all, everything works, for me, Metalety are the no 1 newcomer band this year!
