In previous years, we have already reported about the releases of this Norwegian lady, who tries to establish herself in the AOR scene. With her records “Sign of Angels” and “The Storm” she managed that quite well. Her new CD “Can’t Stop” features exclusively covers of forgotten AOR treasures which she re-interpreted with her band in her very own way. Among the featured bands are Mark Free, Aviator, 21 Guns, Atlantic, Regatta, Worrall, Blvd and TowerCity. Those songs are not bad and should help these bands to shine at least a bit once again.
Unfortunately, this girl still has not enough power in her voice, she should rather try the Pop sector instead of AOR. And even this genre is still too hard for her squeaky voice. It just has nothing to do with Rock anymore, and to compare her with Robin Beck, who doesn’t have the rockiest voice either, or even with Ann Wilson is almost an insult for those ladies. ISSA is a good singer, I just think that she chose the wrong genre. Her voice is just too flat for (hard) Rock!
