The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this record cover was a childhood memory. Every morning, I was passionately following the daily intrigues and lover´s oaths of the good looking Ridge Forrester and co of one of the most successful US soap operas (The Bold and the Beautiful) on tv with my mom. Ronn Moss, who played the character of Ridge Forrester, also makes music, which I didn´t know for a long time. Of course, I just had to check the record stores to get all the stuff he released and I was very surprised by his musical abilities.
As a founding member and bassist of Player, Ronn Moss together with Peter Beckett are already around since 1977. During that time, there was one or the other longer break – just as now because it´s been many years since the band´s last record release and so all fans should have many reasons to be happy about “Too many Reasons”. The album contains 14 songs as well as a remake of their international number 1 hit “Baby come Back” from 1978. Fans can also look forward to some great new compositions like “Man on Fire”, “Tell me” or “To the Extreme”. All in all, this is a great record and all I can say is: Great Songs, Great Melodies, and Awesome Voices! Melodic Rock fans should not miss out on it!
