In Finnish slang Hevein the superlative of "heavy", and those five guys and one girl definitely live up to their own ideal. Remarkable, considering the fact that the band´s instrumentation includes a violin and cello (a certain Max Lilja, who gained experience and fine with another Metal-Cello-band...) Okay, try to magine Slipknot, Pantera, Pink Floyd an a String Quartet writing and playing songs together. Or something. Hevein combines heartbreakingly beautiful melodies with Speed-Thrash riffs and Death Metal growls, catchy tunes with right-in-your-face power - sometimes in just one song! And it works. Moreover, it kicks f***ing ass! PS: Just check "Last Drop Of Innocence" - excellent!
