With „Chaudière“ the German/American band offer their tenth studio album. This gives hope, because consequently the guys from Seattle have great musical experience.
Okay, the sound is absolutely not mainstream, but you have to get used to it. The opener is purely instrumental and boring as hell. You hope that this is just the beginning and afterwards a real killer song will follow, but that hope fails. Also the following tracks are in monotone mid-tempo regions. However, there are some Country sounds (“Couch”), but not even with this Pothead get it to bring more power into the whole thing. The only songs which are a bit more variable are “James”, which reminds one of Seeed and “Sea Beggars”, which is quite rocking.
