The bands managed to gather a sizeable audience and almost filled the Markthalle. There were loads of people wearing t-shirts from both Amorphis and Orphaned Land and it was easy to see that most of the publicum were real fans from both bands.

Ghost Brigade was frankly said boring. The main reason behind this is their genre, which can be described best as a Metal version of Coldplay and as such, their pop-Metal performance was mediocre at best. A very strange aspect within their show was that almost the whole band was the whole time going apeshit on stage –jumping around ecstatically to a sluggish beat just doesn´t sit right. None the less, the audience was pleased, even if the press was not.

Orphaned Land definitely did not disappoint. The whole band was really hyped up on the stage, either moshing, grinning from ear to ear or dancing along the entire time. They played songs like “Sapari” from their new album, “The Never Ending Way of ORwarriOR” as well as older tracks like “Birth of the Three.” As always, they had a belly dancer on stage and their drummer, Matan Shmuely, showed his hidden belly dancing talents too; this got several whoops and whistles, much to the band´s and audience´s amusement. Kobi Farhi (vocals) once again announced that he was not Jesus Christ, despite their likeness.

The jewel of the show was Amorphis, who left no-one disappointed either. The set list had something old (“Black Winter Day,” “Better Unborn,” “My Kantele”), something newer (“Silent Waters”) and just that what the audience wanted. There were several people in the audience, who literally shook from the sheer thrill every time Tommi Joutsen (vocals) announced the oncoming song as well as during and end of the song. In the middle of the spectacle, the listeners turned into singers on account of Niclas Etelävuoris (bass) birthday.

Apart from Ghost Brigade, the only thing that could have been changed within the show was the length of it –not that it was too short, but no-one would have complained if they had played a few tracks more. It must be said that putting Orphaned Land on the same tour with Amorphis is pure perfection; both bands are so alike that it is disturbing. No-one could have ever imagined that two bands from almost opposite cultures and totally different countries would be so interchangeable –in fact some of the riffs from the Israelis are exactly the same as their Finnish counterparts. Just as a final touch, both bands are celebrating their 20th anniversary.
