Was the reason that I had seen three shows of Hardcore Superstar and thus how a crowd in hellish party mood looks like? Or was it because of the fact that I could have been at a Caroline gig instead that night where such party mood was guaranteed? In any case, the fourth "Zombie Love Club" - this time neither at "Alakerta" nor at "Kokomo Tikibar" but at "Bar Loose" - was the most unspectacular edition I have seen so far. At least when it comes to performances...

Jyrki69, host and DJ of the event but first and foremost the voice of The 69 Eyes, is doing once again a good job at the turntable, but only when the first band enters the stage, more people appear in the downstairs club of "Bar Loose": HeadHeartHands define their music style "Indie-Pop-Electro". That works. In any case, Tatu Märkälä (Vocals, Guitar and Synthesizer), Juho Koikkalainen (Bass and Synthesizer) and Lauri Heinonen (Drums) would fit perfectly to summer festivals a la Ruisrock with songs like "In The Meantime" and "Favourite Things" which make the audience dance cheerfully. Even though it must be said that the songs sound quite the same in the long run, so there is still room for more variation, and therefore the Queens Of The Stone Age-Cover "Make It Wit Chu" is a very welcome change...

It`s getting really crowded in the club for the second band Face Of God and without their effort this wouldn`t have been the case at all: Lende (Vocals and Guitar), Benjamin (Bass) and Oscar (Drums) had been the only ones who advertised tonight`s event. Hats off for that! Regarding the performance, the trio has been working its ass off for a couple of months, especially in Helsinki; therefore their name is well-known among rockfans in the Finnish capital. Nevertheless I have to admit that songs like "Miracles" and "Fire" don`t appeal to me personally and the fact that the audience doesn`t move unless Lende repeatedly animates it to clap along confuses me totally, especially after my recent concert experiences. Most of the people are here for Face Of God - but even during the gig of the warm-up HeadHeartHands, there was more action in the audience...

Conclusion: An evening that offered various options and - apart from the DJ set - gave me the impression that I had picked the wrong one. Unfortunately. Jyrki69 was DJing till the "Valomerkki" ("Light Signal"), so it wouldn`t have been a problem at all to come later. At least, the whole event took place at "Bar Loose" - and in there, you somehow always have a good time...
