The King Cavalera on the notorious Reeperbahn - the perfect location for a rock’n roll show. In town for the fifth time is Bad Machine from Finland.
After being on tour through Europe for four weeks, the ride ended in Hamburg. A fine mix of Motörhead and the Ramones with a real dirty street edge. As the band prepares to rock the house, the small crowd was fired up. The Opener of the night was “let the wannabee’s eat the dust” from their “Motörfreakout” record. One track of pure rock’n roll after another spanning from their five-cd-career.
The stage show they presented was high energy in the spirit of early Metallica and Hamburg´s own Skeletor. Lead singer/bassist Masa not only sounds like Lemmy but could pass as his replacement while drummer Ade pounds one classic sounding beat after another and the guitar team of Ana and Ade delivered the goods with hard driving riffs mixing metal and punk. This evening’s setlist was picked from their entire catalogue including the split singles. Not only is the music loud and dirty rock, but also a bit of melody á la Bad Religion which makes it more interesting and appealing to non-punk rock’n roll fans. A must see for all fans and first time listeners.
